The Hearthfire is a castle situated in the Westerlands. It is the seat of House Crook, located on the banks of the Tumblestone east of Casterly Rock. Despite its name, the Hearthfire is ill-omened as the stronghold of House Crook, who are famed for the burnt bodies of their enemies, often rumored to have been kept on display in the castle, including those of several Lannister kings. However, if such gruesome trophies ever did exist they have long since been removed or destroyed.
