Mercyl Blackgard is the newborn son of Lucan Blackgard and Jenelyn Harrigon.
Biography[]
Mercyl was born in King's Landing to Lucan and Jenelyn. One of the only Blackgards born in the Crownlands. During the Destruction of the Sept of Baelor, his father Lucan was killed by Roman Mercer, Lord Commander of the Blackwatch. He is secretly passed over to Ser Rolland Hollard, who leaves King's Landing and makes his way to Smithestone. Mercyl is put into the care of his paternal "uncle" Ser Ardrew Ashes. His maternal grandfather Rickard Harrigon decides to have Mercyl raised at Smithestone.
