Meralith was a queen of the Targaryen dynasty, the wife of King Aegon III Targaryen and mother of Daeron, Baelor, Daena, Rhaena, and Elaena Targaryen. She was a member of House Blackgard and a prominent ancestor of that house.
Season 3[]
While touring the Great Sept of Baelor in King's Landing, King Joffrey Baratheon explains to Margaery Tyrell that Rhaenyra Targaryen was eaten by her brother's dragon while her son, Aegon III was forced to watch. He also mentions Meralith very briefly, mockingly calling her a "rock-dweller".
Season 5[]
While walking through the Hall of Lords with Elen Tarth, Eddin Blackgard mentions briefly that Queen Meralith was the younger sister of Lord Morden Blackgard.
