House Montrose of Westridge is a chief noble house from the Westerlands. They hold fealty to House Lannister of Casterly Rock and are among House Lannister's oldest, most powerful, and most loyal bannermen.
House Montrose is currently headed by Lord Myrion Montrose, a close childhood friend of Tywin and Kevan Lannister. He is also currently the High Steward of the Westerlands, a position given to him by Tywin Lannister following Tywin's appointment as King Joffrey Baratheon's Hand of the King.
Following the Day of Daggers, House Montrose was elevated to Great House of the Westerlands by royal decree from Queen Cersei I Lannister. They now hold Casterly Rock in addition to Westridge.
