Gyllor Paenion, better known as The Master, is a recurring character in the second, third, and seventh seasons. He is a mysterious old hermit who lives in a remote keep in the Stormlands. He trains Sarina Waters into becoming "The Raven". Prior to this, he was the original leader of the Knights of Aegon.
Very little is known about this man, except his real name and that he originally comes from Pentos and was a first cousin of Illyrio Mopatis.
He is later killed by Sarina Waters after she was brainwashed by a post-mortem Lucas Dragen.
