Grayson Mercer is a recurring character in the fifth season. He is the secondborn son of Eddin and Myrianne Mercer, and the younger brother of Ser Roman Mercer and the twin of Celesse Mercer. He is affectionately known as "The Young Mercer". He is seen as a charismatic idealist and has a keen grasp and knowledge of politics, and has aspirations of someday becoming Hand of the King.
When his father is called to served as the personal steward of King Tommen Baratheon, Grayson becomes acting lord of Dunharrow.
Grayson notably idolizes Trevyr Blackgard, after having heard the story of Trevyr's struggle against House Keller.
As part of the Ashlands Conflict, Grayson was assassinated at his nameday banquet on a joint order from Edgarth Bergen and his own brother Roman Mercer.
