Elen Blackgard née Tarth is a major character in the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons. Initially appearing as a recurring character in the third season. She is Lord Selwyn Tarth's niece. She moves to Blackgard when her father betroths her to Eddin Blackgard, Lord Trevyr Blackgard's thirdborn son. When Eddin ascended as Lord of Ebonheart, Elen married him, effectively becoming the Lady of Ebonheart.
