Princess Daenerys Targaryen is the runaway daughter of Aerys II Targaryen and sister of King Rhaegar I Targaryen.
Having been caught in bed with her niece, Rhaenys, Daenerys is sent into exile for 5 years, at the behest of Rhaenys' betrothed, Joffrey Lannister. In exile, Daenerys goes on many adventures, during which she hatches a dragon and decides to sail the seas. Refusing to return to Westeros after her 4 year exile is over, she forms her own fleet of ships and becomes a powerful corsair, sailing with her own fleet - the Black Company.
The wedding is postponed and eventually cancelled, with Rhaenys eventually joining Daenerys in willing exile. Soon after, the two sink a Lannister ship, carrying Joffrey, captured him and sold him into slavery.
Together the two roam the seas, which have become Daenerys' de facto realm, with the pirate queen exacting a toll from anyone crossing her seas.
