The Black Gate, also known as the Ebongate or the Gates of Asterion, is a large gate that serves as the official entrance of the Ashlands. Built by Asterion the Black shortly after House Blackgard was founded, it is made entirely out of ebony. It is considered part of the Black Road, and is situated right by Dunharrow, who maintain the gate.
Two battles were fought between House Blackgard and the forces of House Targaryen at the gate during Robert's Rebellion.
